Ruby is an illustrator living in Wellington, New Zealand. She is known for her simple but impactful drawings that explore themes of love, mental health, and body image. Ruby is best known for her drawing of two women embracing in a hug, penned with the words “This is your home and you should have been safe here”, which was shared widely online following the 2019 Christchurch terror attacks. After this, Ruby was invited to illustrate a cover for Time Magazine.
Ruby has released two books with Penguin Random House - All Of This Is For You (2019) and In This Body (2022). She has also worked with a wide range of brands and organisations including BIC, Nespresso, Amnesty International, Madman Entertainment, Invivo, Decent Packaging, NZ Red Cross and the Kindness Collective.
